The Dulverton Room
It's first exhibition celebrates the many diverse businesses in Dulverton with a wonderful collection of photographs showing its shops, past and present.
A wonderful old photograph of Dulverton adorns one end wall, whilst opposite it there is a 2014 colour photograph looking down upon the town. Various old signs from some of the town's business premises are also on display.
Additionally, the room has a feature on Brett Wright and Laurence Beckford, two local master craftsmen; it includes samples of their stunning works. Brett is an ecclesiastical joiner and carpenter, and Laurence is a stone and wood carver; both are highly acclaimed and their work, made here in Dulverton, has found itself as far as London and New York!
Many photographs have been kindly loaned by local private collectors.
